If you’re a resident or homeowner on Daufuskie Island, you may qualify for discounted ferry tickets through the Official Daufuskie Island Public Ferry Program! To receive this discount, you'll need a Qualified Discount Rider (QDR) ID card, and here’s how to get it:

Step 1: Apply Through Beaufort County Government

Beaufort County Government handles all eligibility and application processing.​

Once your application is reviewed, the Beaufort County Administration will email you the next steps, including instructions on how to set up a pickup appointment for your ID card.

Step 2: Pick Up Your ID Card from Palmetto Breeze

You don’t have to drive all the way to Beaufort! Palmetto Breeze will issue your physical ID card right here in Bluffton. Just schedule an appointment after your application is approved.

Need a Replacement?

If your card is lost but still active, Palmetto Breeze will replace it for a fee of $25. ​
