Bluffton now has weekday fixed-route public transportation. Palmetto Breeze Transit, the Lowcountry’s regional transportation provider, with the launch of the Bluffton Breeze, a safe, eco-friendly, cost-effective alternative to getting around town.
The Bluffton Breeze is a Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., year-round public transit service connecting many of the great destinations around Bluffton, including Old Town Bluffton.
With nearly 60 bus stops, there is sure to be one near you that can connect you to work, shopping, medical appointments, school, and wherever you want to go to experience all that Bluffton has to offer.
Bluffton Breeze has routes that include numerous residential areas, employers, shopping plazas, and of course many of our excellent local restaurants, with a concentration of service along Bluffton and Buckwalter Parkways. Every Bluffton Breeze vehicle is equipped with comfortable seating, bicycle racks, and a deployable lift for anyone who may need assistance in boarding. Each Bluffton Breeze vehicle is cleaned and sanitized daily, to help you maintain your health and safety.

Rides are Fare-FREE through March 31, 2024. Beginning April 1, 2024, the cost to ride is just one dollar ($1) per trip, and our free BreezePass app makes it even easier, because you can pre-pay for your fares, and you can save money by purchasing daily, weekly, and monthly passes at discounted rates. Seniors (65 and over) and passengers with disabilities ride for half price.

You can be in control of your ride by using our free CatchTheBreeze app to track your bus in real time. Simply select the Bluffton Breeze route, and you will see exactly where the buses are located in real-time -- so you’ll know when the next bus will arrive at your stop.
