Fill the Need: Eight Years of Gratitude in Motion

2025 marks the 8th anniversary of the Fill the Need program—a partnership with Second Helpings that has quietly but powerfully shaped our Lowcountry community.

What began as a simple response to hunger has grown into a lifeline for the very workers who keep Bluffton and Hilton Head Island running every day. These men and women commute long hours to support our restaurants, hotels, shops, landscaping, retirement, and assisted living places. They are the hands and hearts behind our region’s growth, yet too often they return home to families struggling to put food on the table.

Fill the Need bridges that gap. For eight years, the program has transformed donations into dignity, relief, and nourishment for the workers who give so much of themselves to keep our community thriving.
