The Palmetto Breeze is dedicated to safety, and because of this dedication, we make it a part of our daily activities. Every level of our staff make safety their main priority above all else.

As part of the recent update to our safety policies, we changed our mechanics and operators uniforms to be reflective. The new uniform was instituted in 2008 to help our mechanics and operators become more visible along our routes.

As part of our general safety, all of our staff has access to high-visibility vests to wear in the event they are involved in an emergency situation.

Our MCI coach buses are equipped with a camera system that allows us to monitor most areas of the bus. Palmetto Breeze investigates all accidents, incidents, and complaints.

Emergency Notification
Vehicle operators at Palmetto Breeze are trained to notify 911 and one of our supervisors in the event of an emergency to request help. In the event that an vehicle operator cannot contact help, some buses are able to activate a silent alarm. When this happens, the destination screen on the outside of the bus will read "Emergency, Call Police 911." If you see this on one of our buses, please call the Police with the bus number so they know which bus they need to approach.

If you see a Palmetto Breeze employee acting in an unsafe manner, please contact us.
