Getting Started
- Reservations should always be made one day in advance by calling (803) 584-5610 or toll free at (866) 271-2996.
- Transportation to all destinations will require a ticket. Please have your ticket ready when you board the vehicle.
- Tickets are $2 each way to travel in an area of 10 miles or less. If you cross any 10 mile point, you will be required to provide the driver with another ticket. The driver will let you know how many tickets you must provide. The driver will not accept cash.
- Tickets may be purchased at the Council on Aging, Disabilities, and Special Needs, and other locations to be announced. You may also purchase tickets via mail by writing to the Bamberg County Handy Ride.
More Ride Tips
- No children under the age of 16 can ride without an adult.
- As required by law, children must be in a child safety seat. Please provide your own child safety seat when bringing children aboard Handy Ride.
- To ensure that everyone reaches their destinations on time, drivers cannot wait more than three minute to pick up a passenger.
- Please be sure to cancel your reservation if you are unable to make a trip. After three no-shows, it will be necessary to suspend your service for a period of six months.
